Easter Wallpaper

Easter wallpaper can be something to decorate the walls in your home, or to decorate your computer's desktop as a background. This article focuses on the computer desktop aspect of this festive holiday design.

Easter wallpaper is one of millions of desktop wallpapers available, and the origins of computer wallpapers is interesting. Once people began using GUI on their computers, graphical user interfaces, the idea of dessktop wallpapers exploded. It would surprise you to know when the first graphic interfaces were made for computers. It was 1975 at Xerox when a windowed computer interface called Officetalk was used in an experimental office. The first background was really just a color pattern so people could tell the difference between the inside and outside of windows. Apple adopted the same style but with more gray due to the non-interlaced nature of their screens. Later, with color monitors, backgrounds switched to simple colors and even simple images.

Most modern computers use GUI, so they have desktops with backgrounds that can be quite intricate, including Easter Wallpaper. On a PC this is called a wallpaper, while on a Mac it's a desktop background. Raster images are popular for backgrounds because they stretch to various screen sizes without pixelating like a GIF or JPG would – in other words they don't get jagged or grainy. Wallpapers come in a lot of different styles, from a single color with a computer name on it used by engineers in rack mount situations, to patterns and themes, and as mentioned even high quality images such as Easter wallpaper.

Enough about the history and wallpapers in general, now onto the subject at hand – Easter wallpaper. Google has an image search that is excellent for finding anything having to do with backgrounds and wallpapers. The search term Easter wallpaper results in 472,000 links on Google. One of these is a web site called theHolidaySpot. This web site has a lot of information for each holiday including a large collection of holiday themed wallpaper. As far as Easter wallpaper it has both general spring themes such as bunnies, as well as religious wallpapers depicting Jesus.

It's a good idea to know how to turn an image into an Easter wallpaper for the computer, at least on a PC. For a web image it's a simple matter of a right click, set as background (the wording varies depending on the browser). For an image somewhere on your computer right click on the desktop, go to properties, desktop, then browse for the image you want to make into the desktop wallpaper. It's about as easy to do on a Mac. There are even small utilities that let you make any image into a background for individual folders on the PC.
